The Concept
So I recently started skating again after a three year break. I became hooked as soon as I hopped back on the board. I had chosen a Primitive deck and love every aspect of it. I generally make concepts for companies that I respect, in this case it's Primitive. I really wanted to design a deck graphic but at the same time have it on merchandise. I thought to myself what would represent Primitive well.
Primitive: An early stage in the evolutionary, old fashioned.
I narrowed the idea down to something old fashioned, after doing so research I quickly found out that Primitive was based in California, United States. Then it hit me; a bottle of old fashioned, all American whiskey for an all American skate company.
